How to order

1

Congratulations

You’ve set the date, booked your venue, probably bought the dress and now it’s time for cake!

It’s advisable to get in touch as early as possible to check my availability.  In order to give each cake the attention it deserves, I only take on one wedding cake a week so dates, particularly in high season, get booked up well in advance.  Therefore, I recommend that you reserve your date as soon as possible.

To make an initial enquiry please complete the Contact Form or email me at [email protected] with details of your wedding date, venue, number of guests and I will get back to you within a couple of days.  I can give you an initial estimated quotation based on your cake size, finish, level of decoration and venue location. My price guide will give you an idea of cake prices.

If you love my style and decide that you would like Daisy Molly and Me to create your dream wedding cake you can secure your date with a non-refundable deposit of £150.  We can discuss the final design of your cake at a later date.

Design & Tasting Consultation

After securing your wedding date, we can arrange a Design and Tasting Consultation.  These relaxed and informal meetings provide an ideal opportunity to discuss the design of your wedding cake.  To help in the design process please feel free to bring along any fabric swatches, mood boards, wedding stationery and design ideas which can be used as inspiration.

I also take into consideration details such as the surroundings, décor and style of your wedding venue, colour schemes and floral choices.  I am meticulous about details and want your cake to look its best.  I can also advise on styling and display of your wedding cake table which I can dress for you on the day.

My display cakes also give you the opportunity to get a feel for the size and impact of a wedding cake and how different techniques look in real life.  Of course, you will also be able to taste a selection of cake flavours from my menu (the best bit!).

Consultations last up to 1 hour for 2 people and are by appointment only at my studio in Devon.

If you are unable to meet in person at a Design and Tasting Consultation you can order a Tasting Box to be posted to you instead.  Each tasting box contains 5 different cake flavours of my choice for you to enjoy.  We will liaise via phone and email to design your wedding cake.

Finalising Your Wedding Cake Order

Following the consultation I will provide you with a sketch and detailed quote for your wedding cake.  At this point, any changes you wish to make to the design or flavour choices can be finalised by email.  I will then send you an Order Confirmation with full details of your wedding cake.  The Order Confirmation will need to be signed and emailed back to me.

Don’t worry if you can’t decide on the flavours or even some of the details of the design; this can be finalised by email later.  I can accept changes up to 8 weeks before your wedding date.

Final Stage

I will contact you again two months before your wedding to confirm all details and check if there are any final changes eg number of sugar flowers, colours, flavours etc.  Once confirmed you will receive your invoice for the final balance with payment due 6 weeks before your wedding.

I will liaise with your wedding venue and, where relevant, your planner/stylist to arrange delivery and setup of your wedding cake on the day.  All you need to do is relax and enjoy your wedding day.
